Musing Mondays–Reading Habit

musingmondays4

hosted by Should Be Reading

Musing Mondays asks you to muse about one of the following each week…

• Describe one of your reading habits.
• Tell us what book(s) you recently bought for yourself or someone else, and why you chose that/those book(s).
• Tell us what you’re reading right now — what you think of it, so far; why you chose it; what you are (or, aren’t) enjoying it.

Reading Habits:

I recently saw this go around on Facebook from PostSecret.

Ever since I saw it, I’ve been trying to pay attention to see if I do it, too.

Apparently, I do sometimes, usually with expressions I don’t see used frequently or common ones in tense scenes. I think sometimes I do the facial expression to see it in action and figure out what it conveys if I don’t see it described that way before. For example, instead of an author saying “I looked shocked,” some authors will say “My mouth formed an O,” and descriptions like that tend to make me imitate them.

I love that I saw this picture go around because I think it’s hilarious that I do it sometimes, too, and I never would have noticed it.

That is awesome. I don't imitate the book, I did the same experiment you did!

I make the O face too... I am sure I make other ones. But off the top of my head I know I do the O..

If they say someone is chewing their lower lip, I tend to catch myself doing that as I'm reading the book. Funny, I thought I was the only one who did that. ; )

I do a few expressions when reading. I saw that pic on Facebook and have also been taking notice of whether I do it or not.
Here's one of my reading habits:http://daystarz.wordpress.com/2013/01/21/musing-mondays-4/
