Musing Mondays

hosted by Should Be Reading

This week’s musing asks…

Do you tend to read to the end of a chapter or can you stop anywhere?

I can stop reading anywhere and pick back up where I left off. I think it is a easier to stop whenever I need to instead of rushing to finish a chapter. I retain more when I stop reading on my own terms.

Some books have sections within a chapter and I will stop reading at the end of those, where there’s a clear break in the narrative. Sometimes, ends of chapters or tiny cliff hangers and it can be hard to stop at the end of it and I feel like I have to keep reading.

What about you? Where do you stop reading?
