Third Sentence Thursday

hosted by: Proud Book Nerd
Third Sentence Thursday is a weekly meme that Proud Book Nerd hosts.
How to play along...
Take the book you are currently reading and open it to a random page. Share the third full sentence on that page. (If there isn’t a third one – like at the end of a chapter or a blank page – you can share the third sentence of the book or just choose another random page.) Feel free to share more than one sentence, if you feel the need to do so.
  1. Share your thoughts, if any, on the sentence.
  2. Post a link to your blog post in the link list below. Don’t forget to link at Proud Book Nerd's blog, too! (There is a button in the sidebar to the right.) If you don’t have a blog, just leave it in the comments there.
  3. Visit one or two of the other blogs to check out their third sentence(s).
"Parker looked into the rearview mirror, searching for signs of herself but she could not see her reflection at all. The song poured into the car as she drove along, but then cut out unexpectedly as the car swerved around beyond her control." pg 45
Letters in Cardboard Boxes

I am on page 46, so I already know that this is a dream. But I think there is something significant about the way Parker searches for signs of herself in the mirror because it seems to be something she struggles with. I know think she knows exactly who she is just yet and I think this dream is a representation of that.

I'm glad you said that was a dream. I was thinking there was an imminent tragedy!

I hated to include that spoiler, but i also thought it was kind of necessary!

Definitely. And I'm guessing it's minor, so far as spoilers go.
